About Kersten

Kersten Stengel is a Clinical Nutritionist, Yoga Therapist, author and speaker whose work focuses on nervous system regulation, sustainable performance and midlife reinvention for high-pressure professionals.

Her work integrates traditional wisdom and contemporary evidence-based science to support restoration of physiological capacity, clarity and long-term resilience.

Professional Background

Kersten spent over two decades in education across the UK and South Australia, including senior leadership roles as Deputy Principal overseeing large school communities, strategic reform initiatives and staff development. Her career included responsibility for organisational performance, crisis management and system-level improvement.

During this time, she also served as a volunteer emergency services responder, further deepening her understanding of high-pressure occupational environments.

Following a workplace assault that ended her 20-year teaching career, Kersten undertook a period of personal and professional reinvention - rebuilding her health through structured yoga therapy, clinical nutrition and lifestyle intervention. This experience now underpins the integrity and structure of her professional work.

Qualifications & Training

Kersten’s academic and professional training spans science, education and integrative health.

• Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Secondary Science)

She achieved a 98% grade in clinical practicum during her nutrition degree, demonstrating excellence in assessment, treatment planning and professional care.

Her yoga therapy training integrates trauma-aware practice, nervous system regulation and classical yogic philosophy. Kersten has undertaken immersive periods of study in India, deepening her understanding of traditional therapeutic frameworks and their responsible integration into modern professional contexts.

She is also undertaking formal coach training aligned with internationally recognised standards, further strengthening the ethical and structured delivery of her mentorship work.

Approach & Leadership

Kersten is the creator of The Aligned Reset Method™, a structured framework integrating nervous system regulation, clinical nutrition and strategic lifestyle recalibration.

Her work is particularly suited to professionals navigating sustained stress, occupational exposure, leadership load or significant life transition. She works privately with clients worldwide and facilitates curated retreats in Australia and internationally.

As a co-author in the bestselling Start Over series and a speaker on sustainable performance and professional reinvention, Kersten contributes to broader conversations around leadership, resilience and recovery in modern systems.

Her approach is calm, structured and evidence-informed - focused not on pushing harder, but on restoring the biological foundations that allow sustainable success.

Working Together

If you recognise yourself in this work - in the sustained responsibility, the quiet depletion, or the sense that pushing through is no longer sufficient - structured support may be the next appropriate step.

My private work is designed for professionals who value clarity, evidence-informed guidance and a steady, physiology-led approach to sustainable performance and reinvention.
